At Elevate Performance Psychology, we value compassion, respect, and integrity. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for our clients to discover how to best optimize their performance.
We take a holistic approach to mental skills training, considering the physical, emotional, social, and cultural factors that can impact mental health and performance. Our goal is to help our clients develop the skills, grit, and endurance they need to navigate life's challenges whether in their job, in their sport, or in their performance activity.
Dr. Mari Larrea is culturally-sensitive and culturally-competent consultant with years of experience working with high performers. She specializes in trauma-informed care for athletes, CEOs, attorneys, medical professionals, authors, actors, musicians, first responders, and business owners. Dr. Larrea sees clients 10 years-old and up.
Dr. Mari Larrea is a sports and performance therapist and consultant. She specializes in helping individuals and teams discover their purpose, identify strengths, and navigate challenges by instilling passions back into performance. She works with individuals, families, teams, and businesses to optimize performance strategies and manage stress.
Dr. Larrea received degrees in general psychology (B.A. and M.S.) and criminal justice (B.A.) from Albizu University and Florida Atlantic University. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Albizu University, specializing in health psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship from Brigham Young University in 2023, where she received training in group/individual/sex/couples therapy, as well as performance enhancement. She also worked in the biofeedback lab. Her training at BYU offered her the opportunity to be mentored and trained by one of the most known sport psychologist in the field of clinical sports psychology and performance optimization. She received training here with Division-I athletes throughout multiple teams within the athletic system. Additionally, Dr. Larrea was an adjunct professor for Performance Psychology at BYU during her internship. Currently, Dr. Larrea sees therapy clients at a private practice based in Georgia under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Currently, Dr. Larrea is also the CEO/Founder of an Atlanta-based non-profit that focuses on the integration of spiritual-wellbeing and performance called Elevate Global Ministry, Inc.
